Jean Éric Vergne gets a Personalised DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360
Stellantis, December 11th, 2023
Young father and two time Formula E Champion, Jean Éric Vergne is switching from DS 4 E Tense 225 to DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360. This DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360 has been personalised with the help of DS Design Studio Paris and DS Performance.
#Formula E champion, DS Automobiles ambassador but also young father, Jean Éric Vergne is now driving a DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360. Like the DS 4 E Tense 225 he previously ran, the styling of his new car has also been personalised by DS Design Studio Paris and sports an exclusive look.
The exterior personalisation is the result of work carried out by the Brand's teams, who tried to follow the guidelines given by the driver to make it unique, in a "quest for refined harmony". Started at the DS Design Studio Paris, the work was then carried out in the DS Performance workshops.
Already seen on the DS Aero Sport Lounge and DS E Tense Performance concept cars, the bi tone finish subtly combines a new satin grey colour with a lacquered black that goes from the roof to the bonnet. Satin Grey – with hints of metallic and mineral – covers the entire front end and then gradually fades away in strips in favour of the regular Lacquered Grey offered to DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360 customers.
The overall effect is enhanced by subtle graphic touches on the front bumper, reminiscent of the high tech DS LIGHT VEIL signature that lets light shine from the daytime running lights through the body colour. Slightly contrasting, these strips emphasise the dynamism of DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360’s front.
The personalisation is also applied by way of a reminder on the door mirrors with the same bi tone and bi material finish between grey and black, satin and lacquered. The impression of dynamism is underlined by the sequence of strips applied alternately to the contours, giving an effect of speed through the colour and material.
The bonnet badge with the “JEV” #logo as well as a follow up 'JEV 25' (his race number which refers to his date of birth) on the front doors finish off this exclusive design.
This #DS 7 features a plug in hybrid drivetrain with a combined 360 horsepower. Capable of 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 5.6 seconds, it also has a 100 percent electric range of 57 kilometres on the WLTP combined cycle.
“This unique DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360 is the result of a collaboration between DS Performance and DS Design Studio Paris. Designed for our ambassador and two time Formula E Champion Jean Eric Vergne, it embodies the link between track and road and is symbolic of automotive passion”, Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director.
“We have worked on a bi tone and bi material finish to add an extra touch of dynamism by creating a satin grey covering with metallic finishes, in contrast to the depth of our standard Lacquered Grey colour. While this DS 7 E Tense 4 x 4 360, which will be driven by Jean Eric Vergne, is unique, this kind of project still represents a creative opportunity, as part of our future developments”, Vincent Lobry, DS Automobiles head of Colours, Materials and Finishes.
